This Cookie Policy explains the browser storage used by Matino, which categories are optional, and how to change your choice. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.

1. What browser storage means
Cookies are small values saved by a website or service in your browser. Matino also uses local storage and session storage for limited reader settings. Some storage lasts only for the current session; other values remain until their stated duration, replacement, or deletion.
2. Essential storage
Essential storage supports security, navigation, requested features, and your privacy choice. It is not used to create an advertising profile. Current examples include:
matino_privacyrecords the version of the privacy choice for up to 365 days.wp_consent_functionalrecords that essential functionality is available.wp_consent_preferences,wp_consent_statistics, andwp_consent_marketingrecord allow or deny choices for up to 365 days.- WordPress security or signed-in session cookies may be set when you log in or use a protected account feature.
- Short-lived technical values may prevent abuse, balance requests, or preserve an action you requested.
3. Preferences
If you allow Preferences, Matino may remember optional presentation choices such as language, light or dark appearance, reading size, and personalization settings. Some reading settings are session-only. You can use the site without allowing this category, but optional choices may need to be selected again.
4. Analytics
If you allow Analytics, Matino loads its Google Analytics integration. Google Analytics can set first-party measurement cookies such as _ga and property-specific _ga_* values and receive measurement events. These events can include the page URL, page title, referrer, general device and language details, and interaction events. Analytics remains blocked when consent is denied.
5. Advertising
If you allow Advertising, Matino may load Google advertising scripts. Google can set or read advertising cookies and process the page URL, IP address, device information, and ad interactions to deliver, secure, and measure advertising. Advertising remains blocked when consent is denied.
6. External video
Published articles may include YouTube or another supported external player. Matino shows a local placeholder first and does not contact the provider until you allow Advertising. YouTube then loads through its privacy-enhanced domain, but Google can still receive your IP address, page context, and browser or device information. The provider link lets you leave Matino and watch under that provider's own privacy terms.
7. Current choice and withdrawal
Use the button below to review or change optional categories. Withdrawing a category blocks future loading, clears known first-party Analytics or Advertising cookies where possible, and reloads the page when needed. You can also clear site data through your browser.
If Global Privacy Control is active, Advertising remains off. If legacy Do Not Track is active, Analytics and Advertising remain off. Disable the browser signal before making a different explicit choice.
8. Third-party controls
Google applies its own privacy and retention practices to information it receives. Your Google account, browser, and device may provide additional advertising or Analytics controls. Private-browsing mode and browser cookie blocking can limit local storage but do not replace Matino's consent control.
9. Changes and contact
This list is updated when Matino's real storage or services change. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
