1. About Matino
Matino is Joseph Matino's personal engineering, article, portfolio, and documentation website. It publishes educational material, project information, opinions, code examples, and reader features. It is not an online store unless a specific page expressly says otherwise.
2. Permitted use
You may read, link to, and use the website for lawful personal or professional purposes. You may not attack, probe, overload, scrape in a way that harms availability, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, or use Matino to violate another person's rights.
3. Accounts and submissions
If account, comment, contact, or community features are available, you are responsible for information submitted through them and for protecting your access credentials. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or confidential third-party material. You retain ownership of your original submission, while giving Matino the limited permission needed to store, display, moderate, back up, and transmit it for the feature you requested.
4. Intellectual property
Unless a page, repository, or file states another license, Matino's original articles, branding, layouts, and media are protected by applicable copyright law. Third-party names, code, media, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. A link or technical discussion does not transfer those rights or imply endorsement.
5. Educational information
Articles and examples are provided for general education and documentation. They are not legal, medical, accounting, investment, trading, or other regulated professional advice. You are responsible for testing code, maintaining backups, checking licenses, and evaluating risk before using information in a real system.
6. External services and links
Matino may link to or integrate services operated by others. Their availability, security, content, and privacy practices are controlled by their respective operators. Review their terms before relying on them.
7. Availability and warranties
The website is provided on an "as available" basis. Joseph may correct, change, suspend, or remove content or features. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that every page will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.
8. Responsibility and liability
You remain responsible for how you use Matino and for damage caused by your unlawful or unsafe activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Joseph is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on general informational content, third-party services, or code used without appropriate review. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that law does not allow to be excluded.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how information and browser storage are handled.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, subject to mandatory consumer or privacy rights that apply where you live. Updated terms take effect when posted with a new date. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
